TRACY LYONS, MSW
I started my professional career working in the field of human services, first as an employment specialist providing job search, training, coaching, advocacy, and fundraising for people with disabilities in competitive workplaces. I spent the following 15 years working as a child welfare caseworker for a small county in New York. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from Fordham University while working full-time and completing two clinical internships; one year at a substance abuse inpatient program, and another year at a domestic violence, abuse, and trauma agency.
In 2019 I discovered my dream job that I never knew existed and now work with the broader intention of improving outcomes for children and families through a process of systems change between the child welfare system and the legal system. My work utilizes my expert skills for facilitation, strategic planning, current research, data, best practices, training, and continuous quality improvement projects to professionals in those fields. My practice is elevated by my belief in and passion for justice, healing, transformation and restoration. I value hard work, integrity, commitment, and passion in life. I envision a world where we all want to be better and do better every day.
My hope is to use my energies and skills to help others pursue their own wellness goals, dreams and endeavors.
